This 14″x 11″ graphite piece of Sammy was a 25 year wedding anniversary gift from a husband to his wife this year. The idea came to him a week before their special event. Even if I have short notice as in this case, I was able to first provide the client with a beautiful portrait gift card. The drawing took another month, but his wife didn’t mind the wait! I brought out his eyes a bit more since in the photo his eyes were very shadowed from the bright over head sunlight … and, I decided to put his name on his tag for fun. I was glad I was able to help give them a meaningful gift to remember their special day and special dog, Sammy!
